Body of second firefighter killed in library fire believed to be set by teens found
PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KION)
UPDATE 2/20/2020 9:00 a.m. The body of Firefighter Patrick Jones has been found. He is one of two members of the Porterville Fire Department who were killed in a fire at the local library.
Jones was initially unaccounted for, but crews continued searching and found his body in the building. There was a procession Thursday morning when crews took his body from the site and escorted him to the Tulare county Coroner's Office.
Fire Captain Raymond Figueroa also died in the fire.
Two 13-year-olds were arrested in connection to the fire, and officials believe they are the ones who set it. They were booked into the Tulare County Juvenile Detention Facility on manslaughter, arson and conspiracy charges.

Some fire agencies are reporting that both men died, but the Porterville Fire Department is only confirming one death right now.
Fire Captain Raymond Figueroa, 35, and Firefighter Patrick Jones, 25, were two members of the Porterville Fire Department who responded to a fire believed to be intentionally set by two 13-year-olds. The teens were found and booked into the Tulare County Juvenile Detention Facility.
Because the suspects are minors, the fire department cannot release any more information about them. They are facing manslaughter, arson and conspiracy charges.
