Seaside Police aware of threats made to Tesla owners

SEASIDE, Calif. (KION) -- Seaside Police are aware of vandalism threats made to Tesla owners in different California cities.
Tesla owners had received flyers in Arcata in Humboldt County that stated "No Nazis in America, urging Tesla owners to trade or sell their vehicles before February 12.
It continued that if that urgency was not met, it would "open season" after that date.
The flyers were tied to a group called Students Against Nazi Extremism or SANE.
Seaside Police Commander Matthew Doza said that Seaside was made aware of the threat by posting a statement on their Facebook page.
Although we have not received any threats or vandalism incidents, we are taking this threat, like any threat, seriously. We will not tolerate vandalism to anyone’s property. We wanted to be transparent and make our community aware.
In speaking with Seaside Police Commander Matthew Doza, there have not been any reports of Tesla's being vandalized.
"Hopefully, it's just a threat that has no teeth," Cmdr. Doza said. "I don't want people's property to be damaged."
Doza continued saying that if the threat turn serious, they will be investigated as conspiracy.
