Salinas man dies after dirt bike accident
SALINAS, Calif. (KION) A Salinas man is dead after a dirt bike accident Saturday morning in Salinas, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP said the accident happened on a dirt road running parallel with Alisal Road, south of Sconeberg Road. They received a call about the accident at approximately 8:00 a.m.
The CHP said the unidentified motorcyclist drove into a security cable and the rider's neck hit the cable, knocking him from his bike. The rider was later pronounced dead on scene.
The CHP said alcohol and drugs are not believed to have been a contributing factor in the collision.
