Monterey Regional Airport offering a Holiday Military Lounge for active service members

MONTEREY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Over the next five days Monterey Regional Airport will offer its annual holiday military lounge for active-duty service members and travel companions.

They officially opened the lounge on Wednesday, and it is set to remain available for service members through Christmas (December 25).

The lounge is located in the Administration Office on the second floor of the airport terminal building.

The Active-Duty Holiday Military Lounge will be offering complimentary breakfasts or lunches to local troops traveling during the holiday. They say that they will also be offering a variety of snacks, beverages and other sweets that can be taken from the lounge.

In addition to the complimentary snacks, the airport says that meals from Woody's will be available through a "Treat our Troops" campaign where patrons of the restaurant can offer a $10 meal donation to a service member.

The lounge will feature comfortable seating and secure wi-fi.
