Large power outage in Santa Cruz Monday afternoon; PG&E outage map

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION-TV) -- PG&E's Outage Center map showed a sizable power outage in Santa Cruz around the downtown and up into the West Side neighborhoods.

PG&E confirmed that a storm-related outage (fallen tree or branch) occurred around 2 p.m. and affected 6,500 customers. PG&E said when crews got on scene they were able to restore power to about half of the affected customers.

They also said that they are on scene trying to restore power to as many customers as possible.
