SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Santa Cruz Police confirmed Thursday that an altercation between two men Wednesday night resulted in a stabbing that left one person in the hospital's trauma center.

They said that after a homeless person approached a man and woman, and then started to make advances towards the woman, a small brawl broke out with a couple more people joining in.

At one point, police say that one of men pulled out a knife and stabbed another man four to five times. The stabbing victim was then taken to the hopital.

There are no charges or arrests at this time.
