Pet of the Week: Meet Orbie!
Our Pet of the Week is Orbie, who came to us from San Ardo. Orbie and his three siblings were living outside with their mom and had become extremely sick and malnourished. They
were surrendered to Our Neighborhood Pet Project (ONPP) and immediately taken to a veterinarian for emergency medical attention. Three of the kittens survived and are now healthy and active kittens in foster care in Marina.
Orbie is a 10-week-old white kitten with round patches of orange on his back. He loves to wrestle and play chase with his sister and brother. Orbie’s favorite item is his toy mouse, which he will toss and chase endlessly. While Orbie loves to play, he also loves getting attention and will battle his brother Batavia for cuddles when his foster parents enter their room. After playing for a bit and it’s time for a kitten nap, Orbie will return for a little kitten nap.
Orbie is part of the Spadefish litter, which includes his brother, Batavia, and orange tabby boy, and sister, Ephie, a tortoise shell girl. All are still growing and their personalities are still developing as well. We expect that they will each do well in a high energy home with two- or four-legged companions and lots of love.
Our Neighborhood Pet Project's next adoption event is this Saturday, November 9th, and
the Salinas Farmers Market. We’ll be there from 9 am until the market ends at 2 pm with the entire Spadefish litter, plus other cats and dogs of all ages eager to meet their furrever families!
