SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Salinas Police said they're actively investigating a projectile incident in Salinas where a big rig was damaged by what they're describing as a "commercial grade firework."

No one was injured in the aftermath of the incident.

"We want to be clear this is not a bottle rock style firework," said Police in a statement on social media. "Think more the level of a city putting on a paid 4th of July firework show level firework."
