Pet of the Week: Meet Archer!

Meet Archer (otherwise known as Archie)! Archer is a 2-year old mixed breed with a gorgeous brindle coat and big brown eyes. This handsome guy came to us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services diagnosed with parvovirus. After veterinary treatment and rest, Archer won the long hard battle and is now excited to run, play, and live his best life. He is all about play, especially if squeaky toys are involved, is very treat-motivated, and loves cuddling on the couch. You just have to meet him and you'll instantly fall in love.

Archer is looking for an active adopter who can help continue his puppy training and socialization with consistency. He would love a home with a fenced backyard and will do best with children 10 and up. He also would love a home with another dog of similar size/energy, or he would be okay as a single dog as well. He also gets along well with cats that are dog-friendly and properly introduced.

Archer has received general obedience training, and completed a training course with the Unchained program. He would benefit from on-going training as needed.

Archie's adoption fee has been sponsored by Felipe De La Cruz!! This means his adoption fee is waived for his future lucky adopter!

Archer is currently in foster care. Meet and greets can be arranged once your online application has been received and approved. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org for a required online application.

You can also visit one of Animal Friends Pet Project's Adoption Events! They'll be at the Monterey Firefighters Community Foundation Calendar Release Party on Thursday, October 24th. They'll also be at Alvarado Street Brewery in Monterey from 4-7pm on Saturday, October 26th, as well as the Hunter Moon Craft Fair at the Carmel Valley Lodge from 11-4pm and Pumpkin Painting at Sanctuary Vacation Rentals with Twisted Roots Wine from 3:30-5:30pm
