Police: Del Monte Beach shooting victim expected to survive

MONTEREY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Monterey Police said they're investigating a shooting where one person was hurt at the Del Monte Beach over the weekend.

Police said the shooting happened on October 19 around 1:48 a.m.

During that time investigators said they found the victim who told officers he was involved in a physical altercation on the beach and was shot twice.

The victim was released from the hospital and is expected to survive.

Police said they haven't found a suspect and the investigation is ongoing.
