Santa Cruz County Sheriffs Office investigating shooting Friday morning

PAJARO VALLEY, Calif. (KION) - According to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's office, at around 12:43 a.m. on Friday morning, deputies were dispatched to a reported shooting on the 700 block of Carlton Road in the Pajaro Valley.

Deputies say that when they arrived on scene, they found two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.

Despite life-saving efforts, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Sheriff's office.

Deputies say that the deceased have been identified as two 21-year-old males from Santa Cruz County and that their identities will be released once families have been notified.

The incident is under investigation, according to the Santa Cruz Sheriff's Office. Anyone with information is urged to contact dispatch at (831) 471-1121.
