Stabbing victim succumbs to wounds Monday night; Salinas Police

SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV) -- Salinas Police announced Monday that the victim from a stabbing that occurred on September 15 at approximately 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Beech Street and Dewey Avenue, has died from the stab wounds.

According to police, a 20-year-old male suffered from serious stab wounds to the abdomen and was taken to Natividad Medical Center. The patient underwent emergency surgery but succumbed to his wounds at approximately 10:45 p.m., the Salinas Police said.

Police say that no arrests have been made in connection to the stabbing and that this is an active investigation.

They are asking anyone with information about the stabbing to call Detective Robbie Miller at (831) 758-7945. Or, the Salinas Police Department Tip Line at (831) 775-4222 to remain anonymous.
