Corky Roberson
Statement:
- We have the privilege of living in the safest community in Santa Cruz County due to the quality and dedication of the Scotts Valley Police Department. To the extent allowed during the budget process, maintaining full funding and staffing will be among my highest priority. I strongly support the Scotts Valley Police Department’s role in making all our citizens, especially our seniors and youth, to feel safe in our community.
- Our Planning Department has satisfied the challenge of completing our Housing Element.
- Although, there will be some necessary compromises. I will focus on maintaining our small-town atmosphere while meeting the mandates of the state. I believe this can be accomplished by maximizing the opportunities presented on Scotts Valley Drive and appropriate housing decisions as we develop the Town Center.
- I want to maintain a balanced budget and enhance our tax base by making reasonable accommodations for business expansion.
- I have lived in Scotts Valley my entire life. I am married with two children. I served as President of Scotts Valley Little League. I’m most proud of my role in helping to bring the Boys and Girls Club to Scotts Valley. Giving back to the community was instilled in me at an early age. I am asking for support to serve my community as a member of the Scotts Valley City Council.
