• As the youngest candidate in Scotts Valley’s history as well as a local member of the Latino/Latinx community, Mercedes represents a new generation of leadership and diversity in our local government. Having been actively engaged in city affairs and local politics since the age of 10, she brings a fresh perspective and a deep commitment to community empowerment. Her goal is to be elected by the people, establish laws, set policy, and serve as a representative of this community. Dedicated to addressing pressing issues and enacting meaningful solutions, Mercedes is committed to being the change our community needs.
• As a Scotts Valley native Molloy, is dedicated to working on policies that represent the communities interest. She has consulted local businesses, schools, and many constituents on the change they would like to see for Scotts Valley in the process of compiling her policies.

With a commitment to infusing local government with new perspectives and diverse leadership, Mercedes's journey reflects a lifelong dedication to political engagement and community empowerment.

Her leadership extends beyond local boundaries; she is the founder of Safe Squad, an acclaimed safety app featured in Teen Vogue and Forbes.
