Body cam video shows fatal Fort Lee police shooting unfolded in seconds

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Newly released police video shows a Fort Lee officer firing the single shot that killed at a 25-year-old woman whose family had sought mental health help for her. The shooting happened within seconds of police breaking down the door to an apartment and just after Victoria Lee threatened to stab officers in the neck last month. State Attorney General Matt Platkin released the videos late last week. The footage shows just how quickly the episode with Lee unfolded. Her family had sought to call off police and have only an ambulance sent.
