Salinas Police arrest one juvenile for non-injury shooting

SALINAS, CALIF. (KION-TV)- Salinas Police have arrested one person connected to a two person non-injury shooting on Tuesday.

According to officials, around 4:00 a.m., officers responded to a local hospital where two juveniles arrived with non-life-threatening gunshot injuries. After an investigation, it was learned that the two juveniles were around a third juvenile who had a handgun. While the third juvenile was manipulating the gun, it accidentally discharged and struck the other two.

The 17-year-old was taken into custody and the gun that was used was apprehended. The 17-year-old was booked into Monterey County Juvenile Hall for several charges.
