Carmel Police to hold community meeting regarding FLOCK Cameras on Monday night

CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA, Calif. (KION-TV)- Carmel Police will be holding a community meeting about privacy concerns raised regarding their FLOCK Camera system.

Police said the clock cameras are designated specifically for use on vehicles and their license plates.

Carmel Police said there are currently 30 FLOCK Cameras installed throughout the city.

More than 153,000 vehicles were detected over the past 30 days per police

Officers said that 86 of those detections involved vehicles that were considered "wanted" by law enforcement for one reason or another.
