One person injured in head-on crash on Highway 9, CHP says

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV)- The California Highway Patrol said that one person was transported to a local hospital after they were involved in a head-on car crash on Highway 9.

The crash happened just before 3 p.m. on Highway 9 near Fern Drive according to a CHP spokesperson. An officer said that the cause of the crash is under investigation.

Officers said that alcohol or drugs are not believed to be factors in the crash.
