Big Sur Land Use Ad Hoc Committee hosting meeting to discuss changes, concerns in land use plan

BIG SUR, Calif. (KION-TV) -- The County of Monterey's Ad Hoc Committee on the Big Sur Coast Land Use Plan is hosting a meeting to address a "change in conditions" and "concerns that have arisen" since the plan was certified back in 1986.

It's the first meeting for the committee and is scheduled to provide an overview of the preliminary draft of the Rural Community Center Zoning District.

The meeting will be held June 18, 2024 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Big Sur Lodge.

Staff are also expected to discuss desired outcomes for affordable and employee housing opportunities.
