City of Salinas to interview District 3 councilmember candidates at Tuesday city council meeting

SALINAS, Calif (KION-TV) - The City of Salinas is scheduled to interview the 11 applicants for the District 3 City Council seat at the Tuesday night meeting.

According to city documents, the applicants for the seat are:

Karen Cameron
Juan Chavez
Bradley J. Clinton
Albert G. Fong
Christina Guerrero
David Maisonneuve
Mary Angela McNulty
Joel R. Panzer
Eloise A. Shim
Cary Lee Swenson
Jesus Valenzuela

One of those candidates will be appointed by city council to serve through the Nov. 5, 2024 General Municipal Election. The seat was previously held by Steve McShane who announced his resignation from council in April.
