Authorities make arrest in 2001 killing of Georgia law student who was found dead in a burning home

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Authorities have arrested a man who they believe killed a University of Georgia law student more than two decades ago. Twenty-three-year-old Tara Louise Baker was found dead in 2001 by firefighters who responded to a fire at her Athens apartment. Investigators on Thursday announced that 48-year-old Edrick Lamont Faust has been charged with murder in the slaying of the first-year law student. Officials have not said what led investigators to Faust or explain whether he and Baker knew each other. It was not immediately clear whether Faust had an attorney who could comment on the charges.
