WASHINGTON (AP) — First lady Jill Biden says her husband has pushed numerous efforts in his administration to advocate for the U.S. military during an event where veterans who were wounded after 9/11 started an annual bike ride from the White House. The first lady told riders gathered on the lawn on Wednesday that President Joe Biden is working tirelessly to make sure they and their families have what they need. The Wounded Warrior Project’s annual Soldier Ride was started in 2004 to help raise awareness for injured veterans. The tradition of the ride starting from the White House began in 2008.
