Capitola Police arrest two people on gun and drug charges
CAPITOLA, CALIF. (KION-TV)- Capitola Police arrested two men on gun and drug charges after a welfare check on Friday, March 15th.
During the morning shift last Friday, officers from Capitola checked on two males in the front seat of their van. During a search of the van, a gun was found as well as a large amount of methamphetamine and signs of narcotics sales.
On top of the gun and drugs, stolen landscaping equipment from the Central Valley was also recovered.
Both men were arrested for possession of stolen property, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of drugs for sales. One of the men was booked in the Santa Cruz County Jail for the charges that are listed.
