Santa Cruz Warriors to have fundraiser to honor fallen Santa Cruz Fire Captain

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION-TV)- The Santa Cruz Warriors will be honoring a former Santa Cruz Fire Captain who passed away from brain cancer in April 2023.

The team and Santa Cruz Fire announced that they will be having a "Brian Tracy Remembrance Game," on Wednesday March 27 when they take on the South Bay Lakers. The game tips off at 7 p.m. from Kaiser Permanente Arena

Santa Cruz Fire said the proceeds will be going back to the Tracy Family who will make a donation to a first responder family in need on his behalf.

Tracy passed away on April 27, 2023 after a two-year battle with brain cancer. Tracy was with the Santa Cruz Fire Department since 2006.
