Calmer and Cooler
We’ll get a break in the action on Wednesday as we catch a gap between storm systems. A fast-moving system will roll in off the Pacific early Thursday bringing more wind & rain.
Air Quality: Good
Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a very slight chance of a shower in western Santa Cruz County. Cool, with highs in the 50s to around 60ºF.
Overnight: Mostly clear to start, then increasing high clouds will move in from the north, while low clouds will fill in from the south, becoming partly to mostly cloudy. Winds will shift, coming from the south becoming gusty toward dawn. Lows will be cool, with 30s and 40s. Far interior valleys in the low 30s, where frost is possible.
**FROST ADVISORY**

*Temperatures 34 to 36 degrees will result in frost formation.
*Cold conditions will be hazardous to sensitive populations such as unhoused individuals. Cold Conditions can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
*Damp conditions from recent rain will make it feel colder.
Thursday: Widespread moderate, at times heavy rain by mid-morning. Then, mostly cloudy with scattered showers possible throughout the day. Gusty southerly winds. Highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.
Extended: Showers linger through around mid-day Friday along with gusty southerly winds shifting to the northwest, then easing. The fast-moving storm system will depart and leave us in cool northwest flow for a few days. Morning lows will be chilly with patchy frost possible to the coast.
