A Few Showers Linger
The atmosphere will remain a bit unstable for the next couple of days as a complex area of low pressure slowly moves it. Afternoon showers are likely over the hills, but they may stray over populated valleys as well. We’ll get a break on Friday as weak high pressure builds in. The next storm system will sneak in from the west as we head through the weekend. Its first rains may arrive as soon as Sunday with rain more likely on Monday and showers lingering through mid-week. High temperatures will remain cool for this time of year.
Overnight: Showers end after dark. A few sprinkles may linger on the coast, however. Skies will remain partly cloudy with some clearing toward dawn. Patchy fog for exposed valley bottoms. Chilly, with lows in the 30s for inland valleys and upper 30s to low 40s on the coast.
Thursday: Becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon with isolated showers over the hills. Snow levels down around 4,000ft. Highs in the 50s with the higher elevations remaining in the 40s.
Friday: Partly cloudy with an isolated shower possible over the hills. Slightly warmer with highs in the mid 50s to low 60s.
Extended: Warming will continue on Saturday with most areas in the upper 50s to mid 60s under mostly sunny skies. Clouds will be on the increase Sunday with rain possible late. Rain is more likely on Monday with showers lingering Tuesday/Wednesday.
