Wet Thursday Morning

Another weather system will be slide through the Central Coast early Thursday. This will be wetter than the most recent system, but don’t expect a big storm by any means. The pattern will remain somewhat blocked up through the weekend with us stuck in moist northwest flow. Additional, weaker weather systems are possible Saturday and Monday, though rainfall amounts will be light. High temperatures are likely to stay seasonable to slightly cool through the period.

Overnight: Partly to mostly cloudy with rain showers becoming likely before dawn. Lows in the 40s.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with showers in the morning. Gusty winds at times. Decreasing clouds through the afternoon with most rain ending by noon. Highs mainly in the 50s.

Friday: Patchy fog in the morning, then mostly sunny. Remaining cool, however, with highs in the 50s.

Extended: Another weather system could bring a few showers on Saturday with further possibilities on Monday & Tuesday. High temperatures will remain seasonable to slightly cool.

The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center for January 16th – 22nd calls for the likelihood of BELOW normal temperatures and ABOVE normal precipitation.
