Cesar Chavez Park Soccer Field receives $1 million for renovations

SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV)- The City of Salinas announced that on Tuesday a construction contract for the Cesar Chavez Park Soccer Field was awarded.

This $1 million in new grant funding will go towards field upgrades.

This includes a new regulation-sized artificial turf soccer field along with irrigation and drainage improvements.

Construction is expected to begin during the Summer and be completed in the Fall.
