Six dead after shootings in Tate County, one in custody: sheriff

TATE COUNTY, Miss. - Six people are dead after a series of shootings around Coldwater, Miss., near Arkabutla Lake, on Friday.

Tate County Sheriff Brad Lance confirmed to our affiliate FOX13 News Memphis Friday afternoon that the unnamed suspect was apprehended by a deputy and is in jail.

The initial call to police about a shooting at a store on the 8000 block of Arkabutla Road happened at about 11 a.m. 

The second shooting was reported later at another nearby location, 800 Bend Road.

The third notification of a shooting happened at another location before the suspect was apprehended.
