Structure fire breaks out overnight in Salinas

SALINAS, Calif. (KION)- A structure fire located in a building closed off multiple roads overnight as the Salinas Fire Department worked to put the fire out.

Firefighters responded to the scene around midnight near East Market Street and Monterey Street next to Bankers Casino and an apartment complex. Fire units were still on the scene around 3:00 a.m.

The extent of the damage is not known at this time and no injuries are reported.
