Marina seeks expansion of childcare businesses for more options

MARINA, Calif. (KION-TV) - The city of Marina could be making it easier to open a childcare business in the city, hoping that bringing in more options could also bring down the burden on local parents.

At their city council meeting, Marina will consider an ordinance that will expand the zones where childcare businesses can operate and allow them to move into existing commercial spaces.

It would also remove the restriction of keeping child care centers at least 300 feet away from each other.

The ordinance had been previously approved by the council on June 3rd, returning for full approval.
