MPUSD begins their summer lunch program

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) - The Monterey Peninsula School District is announcing the start of its free summer lunch program.

The program is open to all youth up to the age of 18.

No enrollment, paperwork, or income verification is required.

Families are also welcome to drop in with their children, and no advance registration is necessary.

Staff wanting to make sure they stay connected with students over the break -- and make sure they're getting the nutrition they need. 

"We recognize for a lot of our students, a lot of our families, that school food can sometimes be the only meal that students have available," said

Lunches will be provided at multiple school and community locations throughout the summer.
