ICE agents detained Greenfield man for prior sexual abuse arrest, police confirm
GREENFIELD, Calif. (KION-TV) - Greenfield Police confirmed that a man detained in the city was previously arrested for sexual abuse of a minor.
According to Chief Guillermo "Bill" Mixer, Margurito Galindo de Jesus was arrested in 2009 for having sex with a minor here in the United States and was deported thereafter.
An unspecified amount of time passed, and Galindo de Jesus returned to the U.S. before ICE detained him.
Mixer had previously stated that since the detainment was done discreetly by a plainclothes officer, "it is because they are dealing with a dangerous person with a criminal record and they really pose a risk to the community."
