MORGAN HILL, Calif. (KION-TV) -- A deadly fire at the Windmill Estates neighborhood in Morgan Hill claimed the life of one individual and a dog late Wednesday night.

The Morgan Hill Fire Department says the fire started around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday.

The residence was destroyed due to the fire with one individual reported killed as well as a dog.

Morgan Hill Fire says CAL FIRE is investigating, along with Morgan Hill Police and the Santa Clara County Arson task Force.
