A vehicle collided with a building on Frederick Street in Santa Cruz Friday; Santa Cruz Fire Department

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION-TV) -- A solo vehicle crashed into a residence at the 500 block of Frederick Street in Santa Cruz Friday, according to the Santa Cruz Fire Department.

They said that the occupants of the home were there but that the vehicle did not intrude into the home. The kitchen was where the vehicle hit, according to the fire department.

Officials are still assessing injuries and no damage was done to the house. They say that the vehicle did, however, get damaged.

Both the police and fire departments believe this was not drug or alcohol related.
