Structure fire contained in Hollister, 14 displaced

HOLLISTER, Calif. (KION) A structure fire at a triplex on Memorial Street between Verdun and Hillcrest in Hollister has been contained, according to the Hollister Police Department.

Firefighters on scene said that 14 people have been displaced due to the fire and there was $500,000 worth of damage to the triplex and three units were extensively damaged.

The origin of the fire was at the garage of the triplex, according to the fire department.

No injuries were reported and the Red Cross is set to help those displaced by the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation but the Hollister Fire Department doesn't believe the origin is suspicious.
