Woman dies in Hollister car crash

HOLLISTER, Calif. (KION)-- A 61-year-old woman from Los Banos is dead following an accident Thursday morning.

CHP officials say a vehicle with 3 people inside was driving north on Fairview Road, north of Fallon Road, in an unincorporated area of San Benito County.

For an unknown reason, the driver made an unsafe turn to the left causing the car to veer off the west road edge and overturn.

As a result of the collision, the driver was transported to Natividad for his injuries. Another passenger was transported to San Jose Regional Medical Center for his injuries.

The other female passenger sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, alcohol and or drugs are not believed to be a factor in this collision. The investigation however is still ongoing.
