Can you hear that? The Blue Angels will be flying over Salinas Thursday afternoon

SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV) -- To celebrate the Blue Angels returning to Salinas after six years, they will be holding a fly-over on Thursday afternoon.

They are slated to arrive at the Salinas Regional Airport at 12:55 p.m., soaring over Salinas to scout the area and plan for the upcoming 44th Annual California International Airshow taking place October 4 and 5, 2025.

"Local residents should be looking up to see and hear the 'sounds of freedom' when the Blue Angels jet lands on Thursday," according to the Blue Angels.

The Blue Angels will be celebrating their 79th year of Naval Aviation flying six combat-proven F/A 18 Super Hornets in formation. This will be along with the Marine Corps’ premier logistics support FAT ALBERT, the C-130J Super Hercules.

The Salinas Airshow has raised money for local charities since 1981.
