Armed Robbery Arrest in Monterey
An online sale turned into a robbery at gunpoint in Monterey. On April 15th, Presidio of Monterey Police Department investigated an armed robbery on the 1300 block of Spruance Road, finding a victim who was met with a gun instead of money while trying to sell off a piece of luxury clothing. The suspect fleeing the scene before officers arrived.
Early on April 24th, Monterey police performed a search warrant on 18 year old Bryson Kramer, and discovered the victim's clothing, the clothes worn by the suspect on April 15th, and a ghost gun. There was much more to find though, with items belonging to several other people being found in Kramer's room, including another victim on the same night as the original call. When contacted about these items, many of the victims said their possessions had been stolen from their cars.
That additional victim had been robbed in a similar way as the initial victim, meeting with the suspect to sell clothing before being met with a pistol. This robbery was not initially reported to police.
Kramer was arrested on charges of robbery, possession of stolen property, identity theft, possession of a firearm with intent to commit a felony, and possession of an un-serialized firearm. Monterey police encouraging people to sell their property in well lit public places and to avoid going alone.
