KING CITY, Calif. (KION) -- UPDATE: An overturned big rig has been cleared from Highway 101 near Bradley and Highway 101 is back open after being closed for hours into late Monday afternoon.

ORIGINAL STORY

CalTrans is warning drivers about a closure on southbound Highway 101 involving a big rig that overturned and is now blocking Southbound Highway 101.

CHP says their officers in King City noticed the overturned rig around 3:45 Monday morning as they were patrolling south county north of Jolon Road near Bradley.

So far there's no word on if anyone was injured in the incident or if the vehicle was abandoned before CHP got there.

There's no estimated time in which the highway will be back open for southbound commuters.

CHP says they've set up an alternate route at Jolon Road in King City for drivers traveling south. Drivers will have to take Jolon Road and travel through Lockwood to make their way to Bradley.
