Woman found dead in Las Lomas

The Monterey County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a woman in Las Lomas.

The sheriff's office says deputies found a female victim with a gunshot wound late Saturday night near Gregory Road and believe foul play was involved.

Detectives arrested two brothers, 27-year-old Miguel Casillas-Cervantes and 24-year-old Axell Casillas-Cervantes.

Miguel was booked into county jail for child endangerment and manslaughter. Axell was booked for child endangerment and various weapons charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
