Multiple departments across Monterey County respond to Marina fire

UPDATE: 11/23/5:46 P.M. The Marina Fire Department has confirmed that all three vegetation fires that broke out along the intersection of Blanco and Reservation roads Saturday are contained.

The largest of the three fires burned 49 acres, while the smaller two fires only burn one-tenth and one-half of an acre, respectively.

Responding agencies included the Marina Fire Department, the Seaside Fire Department, Monterey County Regional Fire District, Presidio of Monterey Fire Department and Cal Fire. The Marina Police Department, California State University Monterey Bay Police Department, Monterey County Sheriff's Office and California Highway Patrol also responded.

California Highway Patrol confirms that while road closures are still in affect as of 6:00 Saturday night, they are expected to be lifted sometime around 6:30 p.m.

MARINA, Calif. (KION) Multiple departments across Monterey County are responding to a fire that broke out at the intersection of Blanco and Reservation roads in Marina Saturday morning.

The Seaside Fire Department confirmed that the fire had burned between 8 to 10 acres as of 12:20 p.m. Saturday and had not damaged any structures.

The fire is not contained. We will continue to update this story as we receive more information.
