Officer involved shooting on Amarillo Way

SALINAS, Calif. (KION) An officer involved shooting occurred on Amarillo Way Saturday night.

Officers with the Salinas Police Department responded to a call saying that two men were fighting with the occupants of a home of the 800 block of Amarillo Way around 9:25 p.m.

One of the men threatened the occupants with a knife before officers located the suspects in the back yard, which is where the shooting occurred.

Neither suspect was shot, and no officers were injured.
