SALINAS, Calif. (KION) - The extra $600 in weekly unemployment benefits that are set to expire on today.

Millions of workers who've been claiming unemployment benefits have been able to stay afloat because of the added help every week.

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, or the CARES Act, set July 31 as the final day for paying the additional $600 in weekly pandemic-relief benefits.

Now, many people are wondering what they're supposed to do next.
