Highway 101 at Masten Avenue reopens after police activity in South Santa Clara County

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- CHP Hollister-Gilroy has reopened Highway 101 at Masten Avenue in both directions after hours due to police activity in the area.

The CHP says an individual was on the edge of the Masten Avenue overpass, but the individual has been safely removed from the overpass.

As of 11:30 a.m. all lanes are now open.

The CHP says there may still be some residual traffic in both directions because of the duration of the closure.
