Hollister Police say neighbors start vegetation fire with illegal fireworks

HOLLISTER, Calif. (KION-TV)-- Hollister Police said despite various warnings a vegetation fire was started behind the Quick Stop on San Felipe Road on Independence Day.

Neighbors had to use a garden hose to defend their home from the oncoming flames. The fire was started with aerial fireworks, said police.
