Eviction protection extended until end of June

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KION-TV) UPDATE Mar 31th, 2022 at 3:20 p.m.-- California's eviction protection has been approved by the governor's office.

The bill will go on through the month of June 2022.

This is the first bill to be signed into state law in California by a woman.

The California eviction bill measure AB 2179 has just passed the California Senate.

The measure passed by a 36-1 vote and is headed to Lt. Governor Eleni Kounalakis since Governor Gavin Newsom is on vacation in South America and will return on April 12.
