Watsonville 12-year-old who ran away from home found safe

WATSONVILLE, Calif. (KION)

UPDATE 12/1/2020 10 a.m. A 12-year-old Watsonville girl who ran away from home Monday has been found safe.

Police said she returned to her home at about 6 a.m.

PREVIOUS STORY: Watsonville police are looking a 12-year-old girl who ran away from her home.

Police said the girl, Brianda Barajas, was last seen at 10 a.m. when she ran away from the home on the 300 block of Bree Lane.

Because of her current mental state, officers said they are concerned for her safety.

Brianda was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and black Adidas pants with white stripes and carrying a black Jansport backpack. She is about 5'3" and 150 pounds.

Anyone who sees her is asked to call 911.
