CHOMP offers free daily check-in phone calls

MONTEREY, Calif. (KION) To help people recovering from an illness or those living alone in need of contact, the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula is offering a free daily check-in service.

Those who sign up for the service can expect to receive a call every morning from a CHOMP volunteer, and if they are not able to reach you, they will call a designated person who lives nearby and can check on you.

Registration for the service is confidential, and it can be requested by you or a family member with your permission.

To request a daily check-in, call 831-625-4557. If you will not be home on any day, you can call the Telecare voicemail at the same phone number.
