Missing Salinas teen found after more than a month
SALINAS, Calif. (KION) A missing Salinas teen has been found after she went missing at the end of August.
15-year-old Fatima Hernandez was dropped off at her friend's house in Salinas before reportedly leaving with an unknown woman and not contacting her family.
Hernandez's mother previously spoke to KION and expressed concerns that her daughter may have been a victim of human trafficking.
"My daughter told her friend she would return at eight but she
didn't come back and now she won't talk with us on the phone. We don't know anything," her mother said at the time.
Police said she has been safely returned to her parents. They have not released information about the circumstances of the case.
